Deep Space One
Welcome to Deep Space One!
Before the time of Captain Kirk and Spock.
Dave is getting tired of waiting for someone else to run Star Trek Adventures. So he will attempt to run a campaign outside of the canonical Star Trek multiverse.
This is all based on CJ Cherryh’s Merchanter-Alliance universe. Which features space combat I find more believable than that found on Star Trek.
I will run this campaign in multiple timelines. No time travel. Or other interaction between timelines.
Those Timelines will include:
- Heavy Time A timeline for asteroid adventures predating the creation of Earth’s interstellar space fleet. Can hardbitten asteroid miners prevent the Earth Company from screwing the pooch before The Beyond comes calling?
- Downbelow A timeline allowing the creation of the Merchanter-Pell Alliance (assuming the players can pull it off). Downbelow Station needs the help of renegade space pirates.
- Also Known as Lucy A timeline for Dublin Again, merchanters from Union space (but not necessarily of Union). Just because you primarily trade with space Nazis doesn’t mean you are space Nazis. Can the unwanted “extra” children of a massive trading family provide a link to safer markets?
- Haniverse A timeline from Compact Space (based on Hani first contact with humanity). How could such a fragile species survive in interstellar space?
I am not planning to run these in chronological order. But I will probably leave this up to the players.
I will run every other week. At a time to be determined by the players who sign up.
I will have regular hiatuses, which will coincide with when I am running Mutant Chronicles. (I am pretty certain I am not capable of running three campaigns simultaneously. Especially when one of them is weekly.)
Character Creation is divided into four (and a half) parts.
